Today, the flag is flying at half-mast at Naturalis. This weekend, our beloved colleague Marjolein van Breemen, director of the Naturalis Museum, passed away unexpectedly.
Marjolein is no stranger to many of you. For many years, she dedicated herself to Naturalis, the world of science centers, and the wider museum sector. We all know her as a highly valued, knowledgeable colleague and a wonderful person. Always full of energy and ideas. Sparkling, empathetic and sociable. We are devastated and saddened and are finding it hard to process the news. Our thoughts go out to her family and loved ones.
